India - Israel 30 years Unity:

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, India and Israel have enjoyed a strong and mutually beneficial partnership. The two countries share many common values and interests, including a commitment to democracy, pluralism, rule of law, and respect for human rights.

 

Over the past 30 years, the relationship between India and Israel has flourished in many areas, including trade, agriculture, water management, Defence, and security.

India is now one of Israel's largest trading partners, with bilateral trade totaling $5 billion in 2016. In recent years, the two countries have also cooperated closely in counter-terrorism efforts. 

 

In 2016, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a historic visit to Israel, becoming the first Indian prime minister to do so.

 

In 2022, India and Israel will celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations:

Celebrations were held on Gateway Of India in Mumbai on January 26th 2022, where a special logo was unveiled by the Israeli and Indian Ambassadors.

The logo depicts the Indian and Israeli flags in a heart shape, symbolizing the strong bonds of friendship between the two countries.

 

This milestone provides an opportunity to reflect on the significant progress made in bilateral relations over the past three decades and to look ahead to the potential for even closer cooperation in the future.

 

Looking back, it is clear that the past 30 years have been marked by strong growth in all aspects of the India-Israel relationship.


Looking ahead, India and Israel are committed to further deepening their partnership in order to build an even brighter future for both countries and their people.
